- Abstract
The multilevel data indicate that the force behind the migration phenomenon is the search for better job opportunities that result in an increase in the average income of families, that is, the push for decision-making to migrate is in the expectation of achieving a better quality of life. However, the local realities of the populationexpelling areas change, as do the receiving regions. In this sense, migration must be analyzed as a complex and destabilizing phenomenon in the contexts where it originates, transit and arrival. Our proposal revolves around the generation or regeneration of local conditions that reduces the matrix of variables that are behind that economic impulse to emigrate. The model of local socioeconomic development under a public policy analysis approach seeks to interconnect a multiplicity of variables that interact in the daily life of the local territory to structure lines of action that aim in the most politically, socially and economically feasible direction by means of horizontal, participatory and local complementarity decisions. The multilevel data indicate that the force behind the migration phenomenon is the search for better job opportunities that result in an increase in the average income
