- Title
Treating depression along with alcohol dependence.
- Abstract
The article provides information about depression treatment with alcohol dependence. It discusses the new double-blind, randomized and placebo controlled study which suggests that combination of sertraline, an antidepressant, and naltrexone (ReVia) may help depressed patients to achieve sobriety and quit drinking. It notes that investigators of the study failed to describe the impact of cognitive behavioral therapy and attendance support groups on sobriety.
