- Abstract
The keto group in (4α,8β,13β)-13-methyl-16-oxo-17-norkaurane-18-carboxylic acid (isosteviol) is not polarographically reduced in DMF. Isosteviol methyl ester and oximes, too, are not reduced under these conditions. Isosteviol oxime is oxidized electrochemically or with lead dioxide, yielding iminoxyl radical.
