- Abstract
The article focuses on the benefits of inquiry-based learning activities for emergent bilinguals in English language arts classes. Topics include defining inquiry-based learning, the six habits of mind necessary for academic success, and benefits of using thought-provoking texts and personal experiences to engage emergent bilinguals in inquiry-based learning; and concludes that inquiry-based learning activities can help bilinguals become more confident learners and individuals.
