- Abstract
Dermatologists are familiar with the use of MTX, however, at high doses acting as an antineoplastic, it can trigger adverse skin reactions that are less well known and can limit treatment. Chemotherapy-induced acral erythema is rare in childhood and when it occurs, it is usually because of high doses of MTX.[1] In many of these cases, the reaction is blistering, similar to cytarabine-induced bullous acral erythema.
