Eddy Current Analysis of Cryostat Outer Vessel Taking into Account the Non-Contact On-Board Power Generator in Superconductive Magnetically Levitated Vehicle.

- Abstract
The authors earlier analyzed the three dimensional distribution of the eddy current of a cryostat for repulsion-type magnetically levitated vehicle [3,4]. This paper is an extension of the earlier research and analyzes the effect of the electromagnetic mutual interaction between the cryostat outer vessel and induction coil connected to the rectifying circuit. Simultaneous equations are solved by the state variable method to analyze the effects of induction coil on the Joule's heat loss produced by the eddy current of the cryostat outer vessel [5-7]. Since a complicated computation is required to take into account the effect of rectifying circuit, a case is also analyzed in which the load is connected directly to the induction coil without passing through the rectifying circuit.
