- Title
Important Considerations When Analyzing Health Survey Data Collected Using a Complex Sample Design.
- Authors
Sakshaug, Joseph W.; West, Brady T.
- Abstract
The article discusses several design features that are common to complex sample surveys used in order to recruit participants and produce valid statistical estimates regarding public health policy questions. Topics include stratifying the population into non-overlapping areas to draw samples from, sampling groups of individuals versus directly sampling individuals, and assigning unequal probabilities of selection to individual units in the population.
