A literary criticism is presented on the 20th century fictional books "The Mystic Masseur" and "The Mimic Men," by Trinidadian author V.S. Naipaul. Particular focus is given to the depiction of identity, identity crisis and mimicry within the aforementioned novels, including in regard to the relationship between colonialism and mimicry.
