- Abstract
The authors express their concern over the alarming surge of photograph copies and portfolio piracy in the 19th century. They narrate several photographic works starting 1970s, which was believed to be the beginning of photographic history. An account also on Man Ray's rayographs collection which was reprinted without the photographer's permission is also stated. Meanwhile, the authors highlighted the direct impact of pirating photographs which includes its value, destroying the idea and vision that the photographer would like to convey and public's misunderstanding of its print quality.
