- Abstract
Two weeks before symptom onset, the patient started a 2-month prednisone treatment for idiopathic thrombocytopenia and reported partial alleviation of dermatitis after treatment completion. Learning points for clinicians Pellagra may occur secondary to tuberculosis treatment even in patients with no other underlying conditions and may be complicated by other symptoms such as peripheral neuropathy. In conclusion, pellagra in patients receiving TB treatments may not present with the classic symptoms and may be further complicated by other adverse effects.
