- Abstract
The article examines challenges faced by family law practitioners in dealing with cases involving adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) that are stressful or traumatic experiences, including abuse, neglect, and a range of household dysfunctions. It reports that Traumatic stress is a deeper harm that encompasses child abuse, domestic violence, divorce, and high-conflict or other household dysfunction.
