- Abstract
Changes in desiccation tolerance of seeds during imbibition, and changes of viability, rate of electrolyte leakage, malondialdehyde (MDA) content and activity of reactiveoxygen- scavenging enzymes in maims embryos of different desiccation tolerance during dehydration were studied with mungbean seeds used as experimental material. The results show that the critical imbibition time of desiccation tolerance loss of mungbean seeds is 24 h at 25°C. After imbibition of 56 h, desiccation tolerance is totally lost.
