- Abstract
The article focuses on findings of a study on use of a simple scoring system to define a milder bleeding phenotype in severe hemophilia A. Topics include issues surrounding identification of patients with severe hemophilia A (PWH) like high cost of extended-half- life factor VIII (FVIII) products and patients' desire for dosing convenience; a five-element scoring method to identify milder bleeding phenotypes in PWH; and history of joint and/or muscle bleeds in defining bleeding phenotype.
