- Abstract
The article presents the study which examined the description of the male and female sexes of the new Phlebotomine sand fly specie Phlebotomus (Anaphlebotomus) vaomalalae n. sp. The specie was discovered from Mikea Forest in south-west Madagascar. It claims that the female specie has cibarial and pharyngeal armature and spermathecal architecture similar to the species Phlebotomus fertei and Phlebotomus berentiensis.
