- Abstract
The article discusses hunger, poverty, and the criminalization of food sharing as of April 2015, and it mentions several aspects of white supremacy and imperialism during America's first Gilded Age between 1877 and 1900. Anti-Asian exclusion in the U.S. is addressed, along with inequality in America and the constitutional law-related aspects of cities' efforts to criminalize and regulate people who provide food to hungry individuals in city-owned parks and on streets and sidewalks.
