- Abstract
The article focuses on the introduction of a problem-based learning (PBL) introduced at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawai'i (JABSOM) which resulted to the emergence of vertically stable study groups among first and second-year students. It states that the PBL curriculum removed 75% of faculty lectures and launched small group tutorials.
