- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the use of k-space adaptive radiofrequency pulse approach to examine specific absorption rate (SAR) reduction in parallel transmission. The researchers used highly homogeneous but SAR-intensive radiofrequency shim settings in the central k-space in order to achieve optimal performance and contrast. The article reveals that even SAR was reduced by 25-50 percent, it has no effect on image quality.
