- Title
Association Between Mastectomy Rates and MRI Use at Mayo Clinic.
- Abstract
The article reports on the result of the investigation on relationship of mastectomy and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Researchers from Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, have studied breast cancer patients from the clinic and found that rates of mastectomy increased during 2004 until 2006. According to the authors, patients who have MRI are more likely to undergo mastectomy than those who had not. A graph of the mastectomy rate and MRI use at Mayo Clinic is also included.
