An essay is presented on the riot at the Black Cat gay bar in Silverlake in Los Angeles, California during the celebration of the New Year's Day in 1967. The author mentions a kissing customer was seized by an undercover cops by the shoulders without any warning. Moreover, the demonstration against police lawlessness at the Black Cat is asserting an equal protection of gays under the law.
