- Abstract
I Editor i In the recent article by Li I et al i .[1], both the Confusion Assessment Method (CAM) for non-ventilated patients and CAM for the Intensive Care Unit (CAM-ICU) for ventilated patients were used to assess the occurrence of postoperative delirium during first 5 days after surgery. However, new recommendations for nomenclature of cognitive change associated with anaesthesia and surgery need to observe postoperative delirium occurring in hospital up to 1 week after surgery or until discharge.
