- Abstract
The article focuses on a study on the inhibitory effects of mulberry leaf (ML) extracts on invasive potential and regulation of hypoxia-inducible factor-1 alpha (HIF-1 alpha), a regulator of tumor metastasis, in SK-N-BE (2)C neuroblastoma cells. It states that in the study, the ML extract was found to suppress cell invasiveness and expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2). It concludes that the ML extract has chemotherapeutic effects on neuroblastoma cells.
