- Authors

- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of psychedelics, specifically lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and psilocybin, for treating chronic pain. It discusses these psychedelics activate serotonin-2A receptors in the brain; potentially reducing chronic pain with a better safety profile compared to opioids, particularly in conditions like cancer pain, migraines and cluster headaches; and however, further research is needed to establish their efficacy and safety for different pain conditions.
