- Abstract
The article focuses on Necrobiotic xanthogranuloma (NXG) characterized by firm yellow plaques and nodules and its histopathology is distinct and shows infiltrates composed of inflammatory cells in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. It states that NXG patients without myeloproliferative disorder may reveal atypical or increased plasma cells or multiple myeloma in bone marrow biopsy. It suggests that NXG tends to be chronic and commonly treated with excisions, steroids or alkylating agents.
