- Abstract
Objective: To discuss the inf luence of warming-needle moxibustion combining with tui na manipulation to motor function and hemodynamics of the affected limb in shoulder-hand syndrome patients after stroke. Methods: A total of 80 cases of shoulder-hand syndrome patients after stroke were randomly assigned into the study group and the control group according to a random number table method. There were 40 cases in the study group (n = 40), and 40 cases in the control group (n = 40). Patients in the control group were treated with conventional basic treatment. At the same time, rehabilitation training was carried out to the patients. Patients in the study group were treated with warming-needle moxibustion combining with tui na manipulation on the base of treatment in the control group. The total effective rate of the two groups was compared after treatment. Swelling degree of the affected hand of patients in the two groups were compared before and after treatment. Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) was used to assess the motor function of upper limbs. Visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to assess the pain degree. The levels of peak systolic velocity (PSV) in axillary vein, elbow vein and brachial vein were measured in patients of the two groups. Results: After treatment total effective rate of shoulder-hand syndrome patients after stroke in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, swelling degree of the affected hand of patients in the two groups obviously alleviated comparing those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Moreover, improvement of swelling degree of the affected hand of patients in the study group was better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, FMA scores of patients in the two groups obviously increased and VAS scores of patients in the two groups obviously decreased comparing with those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, FMA scores of patients in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, VAS scores of patients in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, levels of peak systolic velocity (PSV) in axillary vein, elbow vein and brachial vein of patients in the two groups increased comparing with those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, levels of peak systolic velocity (PSV) in axillary vein, elbow vein and brachial vein of patients in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: In this study, the warming-needle moxibustion combining with tui na manipulation can increase the curative effect of shoulder-hand syndrome patients after stroke. The therapeutic method can also improve motor function of patients, alleviate pain degree of patients and improve hemodynamics of the affected limb.
