- Abstract
Surgery generally is performed on the basis of images obtained using an optical scope tube, but lighting is sometimes limited in the surgical field when an autoanastomotic device is inserted from the port for the optical scope tube. An astral lamp is always used, but it is difficult to obtain sufficient lighting in the thoracic cavity by this lamp alone. The flexible light guide is a metal construction in which fiberoptics installed. Because the device can be connected easily to cable of the light source for endoscopic surgery, it is very easy connect the device to the cable by removing it from the optical scope tube during surgery.
