- Authors
Lorr, Maurice; Manning, Tracey T.
- Abstract
This article evaluated three hypotheses with regard to the differences among four sex-role types The subjects were 423 girls and 225 boys in five private high schools in grades 9 to 12. For the study three devices were used to collect data. The first was the Interpersonal Style Inventory. The second instrument was the Sentence Completion Test, designed as a measure of ego development. The third device consisted of the masculine and feminine scales of the Bern Sex Role Inventory. The neutral Bern scale was not included because the method of sex typing applied does not call for neutral scale score.
