- Abstract
In order to study the correlation among the physico-mechanical property indexes of soft soils in Fuzhou, the soft soil layers which have a major impact on the shield construction and foundation pit engineering in Fuzhou Metro were investigated, and the test datas of Fuzhou Metro Line 2 were gathered and analyzed in detail. The results show that the physical indexes of typical soft soils in Fuzhou are stable, but the mechanical indexes are discrete. The physical indexes that are most significantly related to the deformation index of soft soil are natural moisture content, dry weight, natural pore ratio, etc. Under the consolidation fast shear test conditions, the shear strength index is negatively correlated with natural water content, natural pore ratio, hydraulic index and compressibility, while positively correlated with compression modulus. The research results can provide reference for the selection of geotechnical engineering design parameters in Fuzhou.
