- Abstract
The article presents guidelines for the prevention of fungal infections in hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) recipients. It talks about the prevention of yeast infections such as invasive candidiasis by the use of fluconazole drug before engraftment in allogeneic HCT recipients. It also talks about the prevention of mold infections, and mentions that nosocomial mold infections in HCT recipients may result from respiratory exposure to fungal spores.
