- Abstract
Korea's Consumer Sentiment Index declined this quarter on the back of increased consumer prices and rising costs for rental housing. Consumers indicated that they believed strong exports would drive the market rather than domestic demand. Corporate investment showed signs of gradual recovery, while employment prospects in large firms and export businesses showed prospects for improvement.
