- Abstract
Two recent papers in this journal describe important aspects of chronic viral hepatitis in children in two very different settings.1,2 Norden et al1 report epidemiological data from a high-income Scandinavian country with low prevalence of hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, respectively. The different available combinations now make it possible to eradicate chronic HCV infection in more than 95% of adult patients, regardless of viral genotype, fibrosis stage or co-infection with HIV. Paediatric hepatitis B and hepatitis C virus infections: an observational study of a Danish cohort.
