- Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigated the effectiveness of single dose Rasburicase in normalising uric acid and renal function and preventing tumour lysis syndrome (TLS) in children with high tumor burden. The study involved all patients at Birmingham Children's Hospital with haematological malignancies that received Rasburicase between October 2012 and October 2015. The effectiveness of a single dose Rasburicase as a pharmacoeconomic approach to preventing TLS is confirmed.
