- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examines the feasibility of a nerve-recognizing Lichtenstein hernia repair and the time it requires for surgery. The study demonstrates that when a surgeon has appropriate anatomical knowledge, the three-nerve-recognizing Lichtenstein hernia repair is feasible and non-time consuming. It notes that iatrogenic nerve damage is prevented when the knowledge of standard inguinal nervous anatomy is adequate.
