- Title
Patient and External Quality Assessment Samples Demonstrate Similar Bias Between Manufacturers in Titer of Antibodies to Nuclear Antigens: Implications for Commutability.
- Authors
Fink, Susan L.; Linden, Michael A.; Wener, Mark H.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the role of reagent manufacturer in variability in antibodies to nuclear antigens (ANA) titer based on an analysis of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) ANA proficiency testing survey. Topics discussed include the consistency in the relative rank order of ANA titer for each kit, potential to harmonize indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA)-based ANA quantitation, and importance of collaboration to achieve harmonization.
