The author offers information on the 20th Regina Folk Festival in Saskatchewan, which began on June 10, 1988. The author notes that singers Paddy Tutty and Rambling Jack Elliott lost their voices, which affected their performance, and offers criticisms of several workshops held by performers. He offers praise for the performances of Buffy Sainte-Marie, Chris Lindgren, and the group Tip Splinter, among others.
