- Abstract
The article presents a study on investigating the effect of injecting dairy cattle manure slurry on manure leaching. It mentions the materials and methodology of the study, conducted in Jutalnd, Denmark, in which slurry amended with bromide was applied on soil columns and reveals that injection of slurry enhanced diffusion of bromide into small pores. It shows that injection reduced the amount of bromide leached and reveals that no effect of injection on leaching of bromide was observed for sandy loam and loamy sand soils and stresses that soil texture is a crucial factor influencing leaching of soils that have been amended with manure slurry.
