- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 40-year-old man who asks if he should be screened for peripheral artery disease (PAD) with the ankle-brachial index. The patient has a 15 pack-year smoking history and has a diabetic father. His vital signs, weight and lipid levels are within normal lights.
