- Abstract
The article presents a study which examined the long-term outcome in patient who had pure teratoma histology identified at time they underwent postchemotherapy retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (PC-RPLND). It also examines the prognostic value of clinical variables previously identified as predictors of disease recurrence. The results indicate that patients with pure teratoma after chemotherapy are at significant risk of disease progression due to the unpredictable nature of the disease.
