- Abstract
The author discusses the risk associated with the psoriasis with an increase in potential cardiovascular (CV) risk predictors. Topics discussed include the role of C-reactive protein in promoting the endothelial dysfunction by reducing endothelial nitric oxide synthetase expression, association between coronary heart disease (CHD) and psoriasis, and association of psoriasis with an increased prevalence of cerebrovascular and peripheral arterial disease.
