- Abstract
The article discusses the efforts in controlling the transmission of Ebola virus in Liberia in January and February 2015. Health officials conducted contact tracing which identified 745 people. The prevention of the disease is attributed to implementation of strategies like daily monitoring and rapid isolation of patients. The decentralized approach of Montserrado County in managing the outbreak is also linked with reduction of risk for community transmission.
