- Abstract
The article focuses on the important policy of cooperation of the Los Angeles City Schools with teacher education institutions in the preparation of teachers in California. The participation of the schools in the teacher education program will also aid in the preparation of needed teachers for the state and assists in the recruitment and orientation of new teachers. The author cites the ten major phases in which the City Schools participates. Significantly, the author assesses the issues and dilemmas affecting such cooperative venture as well as the future prospects of the program.
