- Title
Septoria Species on Cereals - a Note to aid their Identification.
- Authors
Richardson, M. J.; Noble, Mary
- Abstract
This articles discusses the short notes and illustrations of spores of Septoria species on cereals, together with some observations on their occurrence in Scotland, to help in their identification from other common fungi. Small translucent pycnidia are formed in the yellowish, oval to diamond-shaped lesions on the leaves. The Hendersonia occur commonly as saprophytes on dead or dying cereal tissue with colored spores and are relatively more septate than those of Septoria.
