- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 4-month-old, intact, male alpaca cria that was diagnosed to have bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV). During necropsy, immunohistochemistry and real-time reverse transcriptions polymerase chain reaction (PCR) found that the animal has BVDV-1b infection. It was detected in several organs, including testes, prostate and kidneys.
