- Abstract
The work was developed in sugarcane areas of the north coast of Villa Clara, Sagua La Grande and Encrucijada, with the objetive to determine the relationships between soil properties and yield of sugarcane with the use of organic-minerals amendments in hydromorphic soils (mollic gleysol, vertic gleysol) as the basis for the selection of quality indicators. This was achieved with 4 databases field experiments, in wich were used filter cake, compost, dolomite and zeolite. The soil was sampled from 0-20 cm depth to determine soil properties like structure factor, stable aggregates, permeability, lower limit plasticity, water pH, pH KCl, organic matter, P2O5 and K2O assimilated. Yield components were evaluated Sugarcane (tha-1) and Pol (tha-1). A methodology used for the selection of soil quality indicators. The results show that through the relationships between the properties, the correlation matrix and principal component analysis, the organic matter and physical indicators are highlighted in their degree of significance compared with the chemical. It was found strong relationships between soil physical properties and yield of sugarcane. The hydromorphic soil quality indicators selected were: permeability (Perm 2,1), stable aggregates (SA 70 %), structure factor (SF 65 %) and organic matter (OM 3,2 %).
