- Abstract
Contexte/problématique : La simulation clinique avec mannequin simulateur de patient à haute fidélité (MSPHF) est une stratégie pédagogique largement utilisée en formation en santé et, de plus en plus, en formation infirmière. Les avantages semblent nombreux, tant pour l'enseignant que pour l'étudiant : standardisation des situations cliniques expérimentées par les étudiants, développement du jugement clinique, opportunité de s'approprier son rôle professionnel dans un environnement de soins réaliste, mais contrôlé et sécuritaire, diminution de l'anxiété et augmentation de la motivation (Cant et Cooper 2010) Malgré le potentiel de cette stratégie, les études actuelles ne permettent pas de préciser dans quels buts pédagogiques cette stratégie est la mieux utilisée, et quels processus associés sont les plus appropriés pour le développement de compétences À la Faculté des sciences infirmières de l'Université de Montréal, nous avons combiné l'apprentissage par problèmes (APP) à la simulation avec MSPHF pour développer davantage les compétences professionnelles au 1er cycle. L'élaboration de cartes conceptuelles et la rétroaction réflexive structurée sont aussi utilisées pour optimiser l'intégration des apprentissages après les expériences de soins simulées Cette approche est novatrice et semble prometteuse L'association de ces différentes stratégies pédagogiques permet de réunir plusieurs prémisses à la base de la formation par compétences, comme l'apprentissage dans l'action, le savoir-agir en situation authentique, le socio- constructivisme, la récursivité des approches, l'autonomie dans l'apprentissage, et la prépondérance de l'évaluation formative, de la pratique réflexive et des activités intégratrices (Goudreau et al. 2009). Méthodes : À partir d'exemples tirés de notre expérience, nous inviterons les participants à : -- Explorer des modèles de formation qui associent la simulation haute fidélité à différentes stratégies pédagogiques; -- Réfléchir aux impacts d'une telle association sur le développement de compétences Les discussions seront faites en petits groupes autour de thèmes ciblés, puis en grands groupes pour la mise en commun des idées Au terme de l'atelier, les participants auront une meilleure compréhension du potentiel de la simulation clinique pour favoriser le développement de compétences.
