- Abstract
The article discusses a study which determined how many SARS-CoV-2 or Covid-19 infections were detected among health care workers at a medical center in Freiburg, Germany through symptom-free rapid antigen testing (RAT). Topics include the key reason for symptom-free testing, the increased risk for possible transmission of the virus to patients or co-workers using RAT, and the study's conclusion that RAT without subsequent polymerase chain reaction (PCR) confirmation is problematic in general.
