- Abstract
The article discusses the treatment of an antiphospholipid-antibody syndrome (APS) in a woman via preconceptional prophylactic treatment with combined acetyl salicylic acid (ASA) and low-molecular heparin. The patient had a prior life-threatening hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes and low-platelet syndrome. Combined ASA and heparin is reported to be the regimen of choice for the prevention of pregnancy loss in pregnant women with APS and multiple pregnancy losses.
