- Abstract
The article offers information on the Japanese green tea. May is the tea leaf-harvesting season in the country, which usually starts around May 2, 88 days after the first day of spring according to the lunar calendar. It offers an overview of the history and variety of Japanese green tea. It presents the beneficial properties and health effects produced by green tea catechin, such as the prevention of aging, neutralization of bacteria and prevention of lifestyle-related illness.
