- Abstract
The article reports on the incidents of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections to several infants at a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in Louisiana in December 2017. Topics mentioned include the several symptoms of RSV infections including rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, and cough, the effort by the Louisiana Department of Health to prevent the transmission of the disease, and the nasal swabs tested under real-time reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction.
