- Title
Colonoscopy as best screening test not proven.
- Authors
Murray, Iain
- Abstract
The article discusses the lack of evidence for colonoscopy as a key population-based screening test, based on the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care. It is inferred that randomized control trials for colonoscopy as best screening test has not been done in the U.S. because of consideration of not assigning patients randomly to not receive colonoscopy as unethical. The importance of screening older people for colon cancer is noted.
