- Title
The Pacific Endangers Millions as it Threatens to Overflow.

- Abstract
The Pacific Ocean is experiencing sea level rise at a faster rate than the global average, according to a report by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). Low-lying island nations such as Tuvalu and Kiribati are at risk of being submerged. Rising sea levels are caused by human-induced climate change, including the burning of fossil fuels. The Pacific Islands, despite contributing only 0.02% of global emissions, are particularly vulnerable due to their low elevation and proximity to the coast. Other countries, such as the Maldives and Bangladesh, are also facing the threat of rising sea levels. Sea level rise is a real and accelerating threat that requires urgent action from political leaders and policymakers.
